MANILA: Since Hyundai has planned to come up with the much awaited i20 cross sport in Philippines, there are many points that created demand for i20 cross sport rather than other Hyundai i20 trims. The i20 Cross Sport, Hyundai’s contender in the compact crossover segment, is a combination of the sporty looks of a hatchback and holds extreme capabilities of an SUV. Its 190 mm ground clearance gives it the advantage of tackling rough surfaces and floods.

Surplus and quick Functions

The new i20 cross sport offers upmarket features like Side moldings and claddings, and the skid plate. All these features add a tough SUV look on the i20 Cross Sport. The i20 Cross Sport is also equipped with roof rails that gives it a sporty look. The silver finish enhances the rugged and sporty appeal which makes it suitable for outdoor activities.

During long drives at higher speeds with the rear tailgate spoiler assures safe and comfortable drive. It comes with amazing aerodynamics which enables good handling. The tailgate spoiler also comes with a stop lamp which is very important for road safety.

The new i20 cross sport is based on the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 that gives the car an appealing look. The front fascia comes with aggressive front grille along with projector headlamp that boost the exterior image. The headlamps also come with Cornering Headlamps which is meant to provide better illumination while driving. The stylish R16 Alloy Wheels rounds up the car’s bold image ensuring a strong presence on the road.

Smooth Crossover Touch

The i20 Cross Sport is abundant on features to help you drive the right way on the road. It comes equipped with Anti-lock Braking System or ABS, which prevents over-steering on slippery surfaces and thus improving the stability. It gives better handling while driving on poor terrain. It also offers dual airbags in the front that keeps both the driver and passenger safe in case of any sudden collision. In the remote possibility of a collision, impact sensing door unlock function ensures the automatically unlocking the door upon impact.

The Reverse Parking Sensors alert you of obstacles on the rear side. The Steering Adaptive Parking Guideline can be controlled via the steering. Also, when you’re parked in a dark place and you struggle to locate your car, the i20 Cross Sport’s headlamp escort function allows the headlamp to be turned on for a limited time, so you can easily find your car.

The Anti-pinch Power Windows helps the windows to detect any obstacle automatically and restrict it from closing. The Smart Pedal is made from sporty aluminum which helps you avoid stepping on both accelerator and brakes at the same time.

The i20 Cross Sport comes with a Multi-function Steering Wheel, which enables you to control your phone, make a call, or even play music via Bluetooth. The sophisticated steering wheel also has an audio system that lets you control volume and choose suitable tracks to play. Cross Sport comes with a 1.4L gasoline engine that can produce up to 100 hp which is mated to either a 6-speed MT or 4-speed AT. Hyundai also offers a 1.4L diesel variant with a 6-speed MT. Adding more flexibility and space, the i20 Cross Sport has convenient seat configurations to accommodate more luggage. The rear seat can be folded into 60:40 splits to create decent storage space.
