2018 Suzuki Vitara launching soon in the local market
MANILA: One of the prominent SUVs from the Japanese automaker has recently received its updated version and soon will be available in the local market. Yes, the 2018 Suzuki Vitara will be launching soon in the Philippines. It is expected that the Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPI) is gearing up to introduce the successor of Grand Vitara, the 2018 Vitara next month. The upcoming version will be the fourth-generation of the SUV which features a sleeker profile inside and out with updated engine options.
The 2018 Suzuki Vitara replaced the body-on-frame construction with unibody (monocoque) construction, which results in improved performance and durability. The front has a swooping front end which is dominated by sharp headlights, two-bar chrome grille and restyled front bumper to give an aggressive stance to the SUV. At the rear, the taillights are crafted in hexagonal shape that extends till the tailgate. The spare wheel is now removed from the tailgate and adjusted in the boot, resulting in a bit decreased cargo space.
Accentuating the overall exterior profile are present five-spoke alloy wheels, sloped D-pillar and the flared wheel arches with black plastic body cladding. The engine specifications of the upcoming Vitara is still unknown for the local market but, the global market is offered with M16A and D16AA petrol as well as diesel mills. Both these engines are capable of delivering a maximum power output of 120 PS with peak torque of 156 Nm and 320 Nm respectively. Both these engines are mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. More details related to the upcoming 2018 Vitara will be revealed soon in the upcoming days.
