2019 BMW 7 Series gets a bigger nose; to arrive in Europe soon
MANILA: BMW has revealed the all-new 7 Series, which now gets a new bold nose. It is pretty much identical to the X7, which is the first BMW car to get a sizeable kidney grille. Apart from the bold nose, the 2019 BMW 7 Series also comes with a few other changes. The hood comes with a new design and adorns a muscular look. The headlights are slimmer and the front bumper is also new.
While the side profile of the facelifted 7 Series remains unchanged, the wheels come in a new design. The air channels of the vehicle are now much more upright. Speaking of the rear portion, the model gets new tail light clusters, new trim elements, and the bumper corners are far more defined. The story of the facelifted 7 Series’ interior is not the same as the exterior. It comes with a new digital instrument cluster, which is the same as the 8 Series Coupe. Apart from this, there is nothing new inside of the car to talk about.
The variant trims are identical too - 740i and 740Li, which get the same inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine. The diesel variants are same too - 750d/Ld, 740d/Ld and 730d/Ld. However, two new engine options have been introduced - a six-cylinder plug-in hybrid and a re-tuned V8. The plug-in hybrid is termed as 745e and 745Le and gets the two drivetrains, rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The engine churns out a maximum of 394 PS power along with a peak torque of 442 Nm. On the other hand, the all-new V8 engine is tuned to deliver up to 530 PS of power and the peak torque is 750 Nm. It also comes with all-wheel drive.
BMW says the facelifted 7 Series will first hit Europe, followed by the US and Asia. Hence, it can be expected to enter the Philippines market by late 2019.
