2019 Lexus RC gets a new look inspired by LC

MANILA: The Lexus RC has been in the market for a long time now but the car has not received many upgrades since its launch. The last upgrade was seen back in the year 2015 when the car was integrated with a new 2.0-litre turbocharged engine along with an AWD variant. Also, there was a special edition variant released in February 2018. But that was it, the car kept silent after that.

When all were starting to give up on the Lexus RC, to our surprise the company has just released a 2019 version of the RC. The car is set to debut at the Paris Motor Show, the company claims that the new RC has redesigned aesthetics, better performance and a reshaped cabin.

Inspired by the Lexus LC Grand Tourer, the RC 2019 comes with a sharper and a graceful driving concept. The car looks like a newborn baby LC, the refreshed coupe now comes with a mesh spindle front grille, newly designed headlights, L-shaped daytime running LED lights, and a modified front bumper. Lexus has also redesigned the back of the 2019 RC. The reshaped taillights, air ducts in the rear bumper, and the revised rear bumper are some new additions in the special edition RC.

Apart from the old analogue clock, the upgraded RC now has refurbished seats, a smaller steering wheel, bigger knee pads and new trim pieces. A new finish of paint and end touches adds to the changes in the 2019 RC.

The engine lineup for the upcoming RC is yet to be revealed. However, we can expect a 2.0-litre turbo inline engine and a 3.5-litre V6 engine still intact in the vehicle. Also, Lexus has not confirmed of an F variant for the 2019 RC. For now, the only thing that we are aware of is that the RC will come with a better engine performance and enhanced steering for a smooth driving experience.
