City of Manila opens free drive-thru COVID-19 test center
MANILA: The City of Manila has opened up a drive-thru COVID-19 test center in front of the Andres Bonifacio Monument beside City Hall.
“Kukuha ang MHD (Manila Health Department) ng mga blood samples ng mga dadaan sa drive-thru at ipoproseso ito sa mga bagong biling COVID-19 serology testing machines (The MHD will collect blood samples from those who will pass the drive-thru, and these will be processed using our newly bought COVID-19 serology testing machines),” said Manila Mayor Francisco ‘Isko’ Domagoso.
The COVID-19 serology testing machine can process up to 50 tests per hour and have an accuracy of 99.6% for specificity and 100% for sensitivity, which is better than results from rapid test kits.

It will only take five minutes to be tested and the mayor commits that results will be available within 24 hours.

Those without vehicles will not be accommodated but instead will be referred to the Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, Ospital ng Sampaloc, Ospital ng Maynila.
