EVAP Summit 2016 in PH to Attract More Investors
MANILA: Pasig City of the Philippines is now once again crowded with the key automotive players and this time the court is reserved for all the top electric vehicle industry players along with some regional EV makers. To continue the waves of excitement in the country, EVAP has come up with the Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit 2016 just after the MIAS 2016 to celebrate its 5th anniversary. Starting from yesterday, this summit is a 2-day long event which will be concluded today.
The theme of the 5th edition EV summit is 'Investing in the EV industry towards a sustainable transport and closer regional economic integration'. The mission of EV annual summit is to promote awareness about the environment along with the benefits of electric vehicles and to divert the society's use of gas-powered vehicles to EVs. According to the EVAP President, this time, the summit aims to attract even more investments in the country by highlighting models of synergetic business collaborations in the EV industry. On the side, participant companies will showcase their latest products and advanced technologies.
The sessions at the summit are also aiming at investment opportunities in cross border business partnerships in clean technology.
Various topics have been included in these sessions:
- Challenges to Philippine Public Road Transport Modernization and the Role of Electric Vehicles
- Global Electric Vehicle Initiatives and Lessons Learned (Best Practices)
- Financing Electric Vehicle Projects
- EV Business Plans and Investment Pitches
The summit envisions to have its participant companies which include assemblers, manufacturers, dealers, importers and battery makers merges to come up with the fully electric vehicle transport solutions to the country. This complete EV transport solution package would include EVs, battery swapping arrangements, after-sales services, charging stations, spare parts support, line-up management and financing.
EVAP wants to aware the whole world about eco-friendly cars and what they are doing to completely adopt EVs in the country especially where mass transportation application is concerned. Recently we have heard that Electric Vehicle Association of Philippines Taiwan-based wing, TECO Electric and Machinery Co. Ltd., has joined hands with Ropali Corporation to show high acceptance level on the EVs front. On the opening day of this high-level conference and exhibition, we got to witness local and global participants consisting officials from national government agencies, NGO partners, heads of local government units and key players of EV.
Apart from the various displays, the summit is also hosting open seminars, conferences and talk shows where government officials along with Electric Vehicle players discussed about how to reach to the common people and how to implement EV transportation in the country effectively.
We also hope this summit drives the EV trend in the country making the Philippines the Electric Vehicle hub of Asia.
