FNR Carry All concept revealed at Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition
MANILA: Chevrolet recently revealed the FNR Carry All concept at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition in China. This highly influential automobile exhibition is scheduled at China Import and Export Fair Complex (Guangzhou) from 17th November to 25th 2018. If rumours are to be believed, the concept model might be the preview of the upcoming Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV. The next Traverse might resemble the concept.
The unveiled concept is believed to be the second crossover SUV to flaunt the Camaro-inspired styling after the 2019 Blazer. It could be spotted well in the concept that the front fascia bears sculpted headlights accompanied by a massive vented hood, portraying a more aggressive and sportier look. No rear image of the concept has been shared yet and just the front portion and side profile have been revealed. The upcoming Blazer and the Chevy’s new concept point to the similarity in terms of the grille design and also the upward sloping rear pillar. It showcases the sporty RS badge. It seems to ride on 22-inch alloys housing the Brembo brakes that have carbon-ceramic rotors.
Lengthwise, the six-seater Carry All measures 5,001 mm long and rides on a 2,867 mm wheelbase. The concept reveals that the vehicle will feature a panoramic sunroof. No image of the inside cabin is out yet. However, if reports are to be believed, the SUV will flaunt a 12-inch digital instrument cluster hidden behind the steering wheel. Plus, a 10-inch touchscreen digital infotainment system sitting in the centre stack will serve as the infotainment hub.
FNR stands for Chevrolet ‘Find New Roads’ slogan. This acronym had been used previously as well on the occasion of a couple of Chevrolet concept cars formulated by the Pan Asian Technical Automotive Center. FNR suggests that the futuristic concepts developed by the brand portray their intention to harness innovative design themes and advanced technologies.
There is no information available yet regarding the engine type and output for the FNR Carry All. Moreover, whether or not the brand will showcase it outside China is also unclear.
