Foton spreads its wings, launches 3 new trucks as well
MANILA: In the quest of conquering Southeast Asia and the Asia Pacific, Foton Motor has launched the Foton Vietnam Co. Ltd. company. It has been not too long after the commercial vehicle manufacturer registered the company in Thailand, and Foton is making big strides to make its presence felt.
Foton recently held its 2019 Annual Conference for Asian Region in the presence of around 120 partners and dealers from 16 Asia Pacific countries. The announcement of the establishment of Foton Vietnam Co. Ltd. was also made during the grand event that took place in Da Nang, Vietnam.
During the event, Foton, for customers with different needs launched 3 new trucks as well. The new trucks are not only strong enough for raring through difficult terrains but also come packed with new technology for the driver’s aid.
Aimed at mid-end and high-end logistic transport is the new Aumark S light-duty truck. The truck is powered by either a 2.8-litre or a 3.8-litre Cummins turbo-diesel motor. The 2.8-litre mill is capable of producing a maximum of 107 PS of power and the 3.8-litre can churn out 168 PS of maximum power. Offering great power, reliability and smart fleet management systems are the Auman EST and EST-M medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks. These two trucks feature Foton-Daimler technology and ZF transmission hardware.
Alongside the announcement and the launch of the three trucks, Foton also kick-started the Auman Efficient Logistics Truck Racing Championship. Foton-Daimler tech and its advantages will be explained to the drivers during the race. The drivers will also be advised on correct driving habits, and how to develop a comfortable and efficient driving style. To provide its customers in other countries with the same experience, Foton is looking forward to organising the event in other Asian countries too.
