Hyundai releases sportier-looking Elantra Sport 2019 with a turbocharged engine

MANILA: Hyundai officially reveals its new 2019 Elantra Sport that looks more aggressive in its design and features a turbocharged engine. The 2019 Elantra Sport bids its goodbye to the curvaceous lines and portrays a more angular appearance to make it look sportier. With its edgy new version, this popularly admired compact sedan looks quite distinctive in the melange.

The 2019 Elantra Sport has ditched the sweeping front grill and headlights design. A pair of triangular-shaped edgy-looking headlights gives it a sportier appearance now. The vehicle comes designed with an innovative cascading grill that looks more aggressive in black color. The sharp and pointy Elantra Sport hits the road riding on massive 18-inch alloy wheels. Other noteworthy external design aspects include new side skirts and enormous dual chrome-finish exhaust pipe.

The reinvigorated 2019 Elantra Sport car derives its power from a carried-over turbocharged 1.6-litre Gamma inline-four powertrain, generating a maximum power of 204 PS and churning out a peak torque reading of around 265 Nm. Like the 2019 Elantra, the new remodelled Elantra Sport might come equipped with either a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission driving the front wheels or a six-speed manual gearbox.

The vehicle is believed to feature a unique multi-link independent rear suspension system that can offer better handling facilities to the drivers. The popular car by the Hyundai is known for its promising quality ride, a fair fuel economy and for its good value in the auto market. Massive disc brakes help in slowing down the car quicker and with greater ease.

More unique interior trimmings await the passengers inside the cabin. An option of red or black leather upholstery might be available to the buyers to choose from in the 2019 Elantra Sport. The refreshed Elantra Sport comes with a flat-bottomed leather-wrapped steering wheel, sport seats, unique carbon fibre trimmings etc.

The 2019 Elantra Sport is yet to make its journey to the Philippines shore. The possibility of the regular 2019 Elantra to arrive might be in the first half of the upcoming year.
