Isuzu sold most number of trucks in 2018
MANILA: Isuzu may be removing its production line for the popular pickup truck D-Max from the Philippines, but there is no lack in the sales for the brand in different automobile categories and segments. Truck Manufacturers' Association (TMA) in conjunction with the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI) has issued a report which has declared Isuzu as the top truck brand in the Philippines in 2018.
In the Category 3 (light-duty truck segment), Isuzu topped the charts with a 55.5% share in 2018 compared to 53.7% last year. The Japanese manufacturer also excelled in the Category 4 (medium duty and buses segment) and stood second in the Category 5 (heavy duty trucks segment).
Along with the brand’s world-class trucks, the versatility and adaptability of the machines along with a great after-sales service across the country helped the company achieve this feat, expressed Hajime Koso, the Isuzu Philippines Corporation president. Koso also added,
"For decades now, Isuzu has been known globally for its durable and dependable trucks that can withstand any challenges in transport operations. And with our collaboration with local bodybuilders, our trucks have also been creatively engineered and designed to be suitable for whatever purposes our customers demand. Equally important is the after sales support we provide to our clients along with every purchase. This is the Isuzu Advantage”.
Multiple customer support programs which provide with a smooth experience of owning a commercial vehicle developed by Isuzu make up the “Isuzu Advantage”. For starters, Isuzu’s reliable, durable, and fuel-efficient vehicles form the first advantage.
The second advantage is made up of 42 outlets along with servicing facilities spread across the country. Coming to the third and the last advantage, it is formed by the timely availability of dependable parts throughout the geography of the Philippines.
Hajime Koso also said, “By being professional partners, IPC does not just supply world-class vehicles and treat our customers as mere clients, we treat them as partners.
Their growth is essential to IPC's growth, the development of the Philippine transport sector and of the economy in general. Hence, we provide total support to our partners' businesses with great products and aftersales support”.
