Lexus ES 350 and ES 300h Receive Facelift

MANILA: Refashioning is in the air! And even the autoindustry is swept by it. So may it be Toyota's Fortuner or its luxury vehicle division, Lexus's ES models, the cars are receiving cute makeovers to catch more eyes and to enjoy the changes. Both these updated luxury sedans made their debut earlier this year at Shanghai Motor Show and now its makers have confirmed the following details for the U.S. markets.

The new models gets more aggressive version of the brand's spindle grille along with LED daytime running lights and fog lights which are fitted in the new bumper. In the rear , the car exhibits a redesigned bumper and L-shaped taillights along with new range of exterior colors. More to it are its new design alloy wheels and rectangular exhaust tips with chrome finish.

The interior also gets few changes where there is a new steering wheel, more soft-touch materials around the cockpit,and new gear-shifter design. Trims are offered which include Illustrious Paino Black wood, Linear dark Mocha wood, and Bamboo with a matte finish. All these with an option of Flaxen interior replaces the old gloss finish.

There are no changes under the hood as the same 272 HP 3.5-litre V6 engine is fitted which is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid ES 300h features a 2.5-liter engine which when connected to an electric motor produces combines output of 200 HP. Some new safety features are also added which includes Pre-Collision System, Cruise Control, Intelligent High Beam Headlights, and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist.

With information like the ES facelift will arrive in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar soon by the end of this year, we expect that the Filipino chauffeurs also get to drive their more safe and charming Lexus ES soon.
