Maxus G10 undergoes thorough testing prior to the launch

MANILA: Ayala is set to introduce another automobile brand in the Philippines very soon. Popularly recognised as a Chinese brand with British roots, Maxus will be launched in the country on June 6, 2019. Speaking more of the brand’s Chinese roots, Maxus comes under the SAIC group in China. The Maxus G10, which is an MPV, was thoroughly tested by Ayala to make sure that the vehicle is ready to withstand the challenge in the Philippines.

Technology, confidence, and progress are the pillars of Maxus which are portrayed by the three triangles in the brand’s logo. During the testing of the Maxus G10, the MPV was driven for 167-km from Tagaytay, Cavite to Gumaca, Quezon Province. The extensive testing arranged by Ayala indicates that the Philippine giant is quite serious about the brand Maxus in the country.

As of now, we do not have any official information about the Philippine-spec Maxus G10 MPV. In other markets though, the G10 gets an array of engines which includes a 1.9-litre turbo diesel from Peugeot and two gasoline-fed motors - a 2.0-litre turbo and a normally-aspirated 2.4-litre from Mitsubishi.

Talking about the Singapore-spec Maxus G10 in particular, the MPV gets features like projector headlamps with built-in LED DRLs, multi-slat chrome grille, sporty bumper with a honeycomb style grille & fog lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels on the outside.

Maxus G10 Seating

Hop inside the MPV and you are greeted with a ten-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, four-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls for the audio, seven-seat arrangement with captain seats in the second row, ten-inch monitor for the occupants at the rear, and a panoramic sky view roof.

Maxus G10 Side View

As Maxus sells pretty much everything including pickups, body-on-frame SUVs, MPVs, and vans, Ayala’s automobile portfolio in the Philippines is set to expand in leaps and bounds. The group should also grab more market share now, thanks to the increased variety of vehicles it will have in its arsenal.
