MIAS 2017: Updated Mazda CX-9 launched

MANILA: Along with 2017 Mazda CX-5 and MX-5 RF, the Japanese automaker has also launched the all-new CX-9 at the ongoing MIAS 2017. The premium SUV from the Japanese automaker follows the company’s refined styling, human-centered technologies, and class-leading comfort level.

Just like any other Mazda’s latest offerings, the updated CX-9 also carries the Kodo -Soul Of Motion design language which reflects the stability and the capabilities of the SUV in a precise manner. In the cabin, a high level of fit and finish with structured and broad controls makes the overall ambiance much more pleasant and driver friendly. Some of the highlighting features of the 2017 Mazda CX-9 cabin include a 7-inch TFT infotainment display with rearview camera, and 10-speaker BOSE Sound System, with Bluetooth voice control.

 

Under the hood, the all-new CX-9 is powered by a 2.2-litre SkyActiv-D engine which delivers 175 PS maximum power at 4500 rpm and peak torque of 420 Nm at 2000 rpm. The engine is further coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission and the power is distributed through an all-wheel-drive system (AWD).
