MANILA: The 2019 Mitsubishi Strada was globally unmasked last month, and now the brand’s Philippines division has launched a new microsite to display its teaser image. One can expect the much-awaited pickup truck to reach the Philippine shores by the first quarter of 2019.

Currently, this robust and reliable pickup truck by the Japanese automaker is available in five variants. The all-new Strada is its 5th-generation and is restyled for a sportier appearance, cosier SUV-like interior, and elements that make it more functional. This all-new Strada is built by Thailand arm of the company.

The all-new 5th-gen Mitsubishi Strada teaser website does not reveal a lot of information and features. Its just one image for now. The image showcases the new Dynamic Shield front-portion of the facelifted Strada cruising its way over the lying boulders. The webpage bears a link where potential buyers can register their interest. Those who already have a Mitsubishi Xpander account online can use the same login details for the registering purpose.

However, registering your interest does not guarantee a cut on the waiting period. This addition of the link at the site also indicates the fact that some dealers have already started collecting registration fees for the upcoming 2019 Mitsubishi Strada pickup truck.

The Japanese automaker has plans to release the refreshed model of the pickup truck in the Middle East, Europe, ASEAN, Africa, Latin America, etc. It is also speculated that the vehicle might be exported to around 150 countries.

The Philippines is the second country, after Thailand, to be treated with the 5th generation Strada pickup truck. The 2019 Strada is expected to hit the dealership here in six variants, and the entry-level model will come with a price tag reading around Php 950,000.
