New Suzuki Ertiga to make its global debut at Indonesian International Auto Show

MANILA: Suzuki is all set to launch the second generation Ertiga at the Indonesian International Auto show on 19th April 2018 in Jakarta. Post its global presentation, this multi-purpose vehicle will be on sale first in the Indonesian market before it is made available to buyers in other parts of the world.

In the Philippines, the current gen Ertiga MPV is available in four different variants. The new generation Ertiga MPV is believed to be bigger in size compared to its predecessor. It suggests that this seven-seater vehicle will feature a more spacious cabin and passengers sitting in the third row can expect to enjoy more legroom.

More to that, the redesigned tail-lamp cluster wrapped around the rear end of the car makes it look wider than what it actually is. The MPV will also be equipped with alloy wheels and LED DRLs.

According to some reports, it is expected that the upcoming MPV will be powered by the 1.5-litre petrol engine that will replace the 1.4-litre petrol powertrain, which is used in the present version. Whether the latest multi-purpose vehicle by the Japanese automaker will also come with a diesel powertrain is not known yet. Transmission options might include both a 5-speed manual as well as an automated manual transmission.

Suzuki Ertiga MPV has been spotted multiple times on the roads of Indonesia and India while being tested. This vehicle is expected to come packed with an array of new attractive features and better safety options as well. The interior of the car might include a touchscreen infotainment system that supports Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto etc. This latest generation of Ertiga MPV is believed to have two airbags as a standard safety feature across all its variants.

Nothing can be surely said about the price of this fresh Ertiga MPV yet. The information about interior and safety features provided is tentative and can only be confirmed after its official launch.
