Nissan showcased an unnamed SUV at 2018 Trans Sport Show

MANILA: If you are heading to the Trans Sport Show this year, you should visit the booth where Nissan has put up an all-new SUV, albeit in complete camouflage. And boy, the SUV looks very chunky and attractive right on the onset.

Yes, you read it right. Nissan showcased the SUV without removing its covers or giving it a name. It has been quite evident that Nissan is working on a new SUV for some time now. Of late, we have even seen the company occupied with the testing phase of an SUV, which was being driven along the Luzon island and even along places like Vigan in Ilocos Sur and Mt. Mayon, but of course, in complete camouflage.

Aesthetically, this new Nissan SUV looks absolutely stunning and though the company has tried well to conceal it under the black and white cover, the large and luxurious body could not be hidden. The front fascia has the typical design of the company along with honeycomb grille. The bumper is quite beefy with prominent wheel arches. The gap between C-pillar and D-pillar suggests that it would be getting a 7-seater layout.

The rear profile is decked up with wraparound taillights which split at the tailgate, LED stop lamps, and skid plate. The radio antenna is attached to the tailgate spoiler. Considering the size, the Nissan car seems to be a contender against the Isuzu mu-X, Ford Everest, Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero Sport.

This unnamed Nissan SUV is expected to be given a turbocharged diesel engine as standard along with an AWD mechanism for the top trims. Apart from this, the company is also busy working on some Intelligent Mobility features, which might find its way to this SUV. These high-tech kits include blind-spot sensing, 360-degree around-view monitor, automatic emergency braking, and also a reverse camera with cross traffic alerts.

The Nissan SUV has been put up on display at the 26th edition of Trans Sport Show. The common public can visit the show anytime between 10 AM and 11 PM, from 17th to 20th of May, 2018.
