Peugeot 3008 GT Line - The sportier diesel French machine makes debut
MANILA: Peugeot has remained in the auto headlines for a while now. It all started with the early November arrival of Peugeot 3008, and it seems like the French automaker is in no mood to settle for ordinary. Our auto detectives have just poured in the arrival news of a sportier and powerful 3008 GT Line, churning its vigour from a diesel mill.
Brushing up a bit, the November launch Peugeot 3008 came in with a 1.6-litre Turbo High-Pressure Petrol engine. This Euro 6 engine produces a maximum power output of 165 PS at 6000 rpm along with 240 Nm at 1,400 rpm of torque measure. Available in three modest shades - Metallic Copper, Pearl White, and Platinum Grey, Peugeot C-segment crossover futuristic design looks captivating from every angle.
What’s new with the 3008 GT Line?
Unlike the previously launched variants, the GT Line houses a powerful 2.0-litre BlueHDi turbo diesel engine. The increased displacement allows the diesel mill to generate 150 PS and 370 Nm of power and torque respectively. One thing that however remains same is the efficient automatic six-speed transmission system which is believed to deliver power to all four wheels (not the case with petrol mill options, providing front wheel drive).
Displaying its green thinking and reducing the car’s carbon footprint Peugeot has turned the GT Line with Selective Catalytic Reduction System and Diesel Particulate Filter paired with AdBlue.
Making drive risk-free and enhancing driver’s confidence, the car comes paired with an Advanced Grip Control that maintains traction in a variety of terrain and weather (all low-grip conditions). It operates via a rotary dial and offers modes like Mud, Sand, Snow, Standard and ESP Off.
The GT line not just brings improvement under the hood, but traces of enhancement can be seen both on the exterior and cabin area. While the outer body gets sportier highlights, alloy wheels, and rear bumper. The interior receives plush leather-cloth upholstery with contrast stitching seen around the dash and its panels.
The last set of revision is seen on the price front that we can say is justified with GT Line's meaningful and stylish offerings. While the Peugeot 3008 price starts at Php 2,590,000, for the GT Line variant customers would need to spend Php 200,000 more.
