“This anniversary car celebrates an important milestone for Porsche Philippines. While we take pride in reaching this landmark, our greatest achievement has always been the relationships we've built along the way. Dubbed the Porsche T-Hybrid system, the setup makes 533 horsepower (hp) and 610 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
Per Porsche Philippines, the above number reflects an increase of some 60 horses over the previous generation GTS.
Inspired by a Philippine sunrise
Photo from Porsche PhilippinesThe 30th Anniversary Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS sports a special Pastelorange Paint to Sample exterior finish, which, according to Porsche Philippines, is a color selected specifically for the country.
Inspired by the vibrant hues of a tropical Philippine island sunrise, the shade symbolizes both the remarkable journey of Porsche Philippines over the past three decades and the exciting road that lies ahead.
The attention to detail continues throughout the commission.
Exclusive Manufaktur elements include orange contrast stitching applied throughout the cabin, leather trim for the dashboard, doors and sun visors, a leather-finished interior mirror panel, aluminum pedals, and the Burmester Surround Sound System.
Together with the Heritage Design Package Pasha, these bespoke details create a specification that is unmistakably individual while remaining true to Porsche design principles.
“The combination of Paint to Sample, Heritage Design elements, and the latest T-Hybrid technology reflects our desire to celebrate three decades of Porsche passion in the Philippines while looking confidently toward the years ahead. Created through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, it also showcases the individuality and personalization that continue to resonate strongly with Porsche customers in our market,” Porsche Philippines’ chief executive commented.
As such, the one-of-one commission combines heritage, performance, and future-oriented technology to represent a uniquely Porsche Philippine-interpretation of freedom behind the wheel.
“For a country defined by scenic coastlines, mountain roads and memorable journeys, it provided the ideal canvas for the anniversary special,” the company wrote in a press release.
Porsche 911 Turbo S makes a comeback
Photo from Porsche PhilippinesPorsche Philippines’ 30th birthday also marked the return of the 911 Turbo S — regarded as the superior all-rounder.
For its return to the local market, the latest iteration of the Porsche 911 Turbo S is fitted with a newly developed 3.6-liter boxer engine, twin electrically assisted turbochargers, and an integrated electric motor within the eight-speed transmission system.
The powertrain delivers 701 hp and 800 Nm. This makes the new Porsche 911 Turbo S the most powerful series-production 911 Turbo ever.
In addition, extensive engineering updates across the chassis, aerodynamics, brakes, and tires were added to improve performance that can translate directly to the road and track.
And for the first time, the Porsche 911 Turbo S features electro-hydraulically controlled Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control as standard. It also gets the largest Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system ever fitted to a two-door Porsche production model, helping the new Turbo S achieve a Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time approximately 14 seconds faster than its predecessor.
Finally, the new Porsche 911 Turbo S also introduces a more distinctive design language with Turbo-exclusive Turbonite accents, enhanced aerodynamics and an upgraded standard equipment package that includes HD Matrix LED headlights, Sport Chrono Package, and a titanium sports exhaust system.
“Alongside the specially commissioned 911 Targa 4 GTS anniversary car, Porsche Philippines also introduces the new 911 Turbo S to the local market. Long regarded as the benchmark among high-performance sports cars, the latest Turbo S further enhances its unique combination of everyday usability, long-distance comfort and outstanding performance,” the distributor wrote.
