The Philippines Gets Updated Mazda 3: Check Out The Recent Updates

It looks like Mazda is on a spree of updating its vehicle lineup with the latest technologies. In April, the Japanese automaker introduced the updated Mazda 6 and Mazda CX-5 and now the company has come up with another prominent model. MMC has introduced a full suite of ‘vehicle motion control technologies’ named SKYACTIV- Vehicle Dynamics, and the car in which the company has introduced it first is the much acclaimed Mazda 3.

 

The updated Mazda 3 was launched in Japan on July 14, with G-Vectoring Control (GVC) and will use its engine to improve the chassis performance. Through G-Vectoring Control, the engine torque is adjusted in accordance with steering inputs to have integrated control of lateral as well as longitudinal acceleration. This is done by optimizing the vertical load on each wheel in order to provide a swift and effective movement. With optimizing the load on each wheel, the driver gets more personalized driving experience, that results in improved handling as well as stability on roads with enhanced traction on the road.

 

 

It not only improves the drive quality but also helps in reducing torso sway by improving the acceleration forces. Basically, GVC is a very helpful technology which acts as an efficient assistant to drivers of all skill sets. The Japanese manufacturer has not just worked on improving the driving dynamics of the car but, has also introduced SKYACTIV-D engine with DE boost control. The DE boost control will help in making the fuel injection more precise which improves the responsiveness of the engine along with reducing the knock. In addition to this, the driver gets a more controlled torque response.

 

The styling of the car has not been updated much but, the interiors have received a list of new features. To start off with the list is the improved Active Driving Display which gives the flexibility to retrieve the information which is of utmost importance for the driver. The driver seat memory function not only will recall your seating position but will also take care of the angle, brightness and content setting of the Active Driving Display. The executive sedan also gets a Traffic Sign Recognition System (TSR), which uses a front camera to recognize the speed limit signs and reflects it on the Active Driving Display to remind the driver about the same.

 

Innovative LED headlights are now incorporated with high-beams, divided into four horizontal blocks, with a flexibility of turning it off individually. When the car is at a speed of above 40 kmph then the LED blocks are automatically turned off if there is any oncoming traffic. Whereas, the low-beams spread to highlight the sides and intersections. On highways, at a speed above 95 kmph the beams are automatically aimed higher to improve the distant visibility of the driver. Along with standard safety features, the Mazda 3 now features Advanced Smart City Brake support system that detects pedestrians and vehicles moving at speeds between 4-80 kmph and applies brakes automatically.

 

In addition to a stack of features, the overall material quality and dashboard finish have also been upgraded to give a plush feeling to the occupants. With such features the Mazda 3 will definitely give a hard time to its neck to neck competitors in the market, as soon it hits the road. The manufacturer has not only worked on upgrading this model but is also gearing up to introduce the all-new Mazda MX-5 concept, which it showcased at the Goodwill festival.
