The Prettier 2015 Picanto Now in Philippines  

MANILA: The pretty city car is ready to paint the Philippines red! As the official distributor of Kia vehicles in the country, the Columbian Auto Car Corporation has just offered the facelifted 2015 Picanto to the Filipinos. The small city car with better features, looks, better manual gearbox and optional large brakes make every nook and corner of the city accessible with a smile.

The Korean manufacturers, Kia claims that the revamped Picanto has more elegant front end with expanded front grille accompanied by flared front bumper that quite matches to the brand's tiger-nose grille. The use of clear lenses for the fog lamps empowers them with greater visibility. The intrusion of a black diffuser that is fitted well in the bumper gives a new look to the rear side of the car. The well designed 14-inch alloy wheels are granted as an option.

The car is equally chirpy from inside where there is new fabric upholstery on the seats. The shiny touch comes with the chrome accents that are scattered on the instrument panel, air vents and on the base of the gear lever. The classic Piano black accents can also be seen on the central binnacle and on the manual gear stick. The instrument panel is further bloomed with an LCD display. The audio system has improved with better synchronization and radio reception.

The peppy Picanto is still powered by the same engines i.e. either a 1.0-liter engine giving 69 PS of power or 1.2-liter engine giving 87 PS of power. Kia says that the components of the 5-speed manual gearbox are carbon coated which allows smoother shifts. The mechanicals are more developed where the Picanto offers the new 252 mm disc brakes which permit the car to stop from 100 km/h in just 37 meters.
