Toyota PH unveils 'Service Campaigns' checker
MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is rolling out its so-called Service Campaigns for customers who can now easily check online if their vehicle is among "cases of manufactured vehicles having concerns with certain parts which may affect vehicle performance."
This will keep customers in the know in the event of a recall or similar issue.
Vehicle owners only need to enter their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) at https://toyota.com.ph/service-campaign to see if the automobile is "covered by any active Service Campaigns. If their unit is affected, the type of Service Campaign is determined, and customers are made aware of the vehicle’s condition and the suggested remedy for the issue."
In a release, TMP said that "Service Campaigns are Toyota-initiated programs which call for inspection and repair of vehicles to prevent issues from occurring. Services done to the vehicles covered by this campaign are performed at no cost to the customers."
There are two types of service campaigns.
• Special Service Campaigns are meant to prevent safety-related problems, and have no warranty claim time limit period.
• The Customer Satisfaction Campaigns is a program for the "inspection and/or repair of vehicles in order to prevent problems from occurring. This Service Campaign is offered for a specific period only and the prescribed service will be performed at no charge to the vehicle owner."
More more information, Toyota owners are enjoined to call their dealership or the Toyota Customer Assistance Center at (02) 8819-2912; or e-mail customerassistance@toyota.com.ph
