Toyota Philippines Expected Fleet At PIMS 2016

MANILA: Just one more day and the gates of PIMS 2016 will open for all auto enthusiasts. We already know that Toyota will bring its Prius and recently launched 86 in the upcoming show. But, as we cannot stop our curiosity till the show, we have speculated some of the cars that will grace Toyota’s booth at the 6th Philippine International Motor Show.

Toyota Wigo

The entry level hatchback from the Japanese automaker, is the first car that we expect to be showcased at the Toyota’s booth. The compact looking city car, which has earned the best Micro Car for year 2014-2015 in the Philippines has surely turn the table in the entry level hatchback segment. With simple, subtle design cues, and comfortable interiors, the hatchback is currently offered with 1.0-litre 3-Cylinder, 12 Valve, DOHC engine that delivers 65 PS maximum power and 85 Nm peak torque. To further attract more customers towards the Wigo, Toyota might showcase it with latest offers and deals.

Toyota Yaris

The car which is styled with substance and follows Toyota’s new design language is the second car on our list of expected Toyota cars at PIMS 2016. Designed for the ones who love to be fashion forward, Toyota Yaris is a perfect balance between style and technology. Comfortable interiors with advanced technology, Yaris is offered with 1.3-litre Dual VVT-i, 4-Cylinder engine that churns out 99 PS maximum power and 123 Nm peak torque. In order to compete in the tough competition in the respective segment, PIMS 2016 is the perfect platform for Yaris to be promoted.

Toyota Vios

The sedan which has been recently updated for the Philippines is the next car which surely deserves a place at Toyota’s booth. The car which competes against the likes of Honda City, Suzuki Ciaz and Hyundai Accent is in a segment, which is very competitive and events like PIMS is the best way a company can promote its prominent sedan. Toyota Vios is a complete package, offering best in class safety, quality, comfort and stunning style, which is further equipped with a 1.5-litre 2NR-FE engine mated with Dual VVT-i technology, delivering 108 PS maximum power and 140 Nm peak torque.

Toyota Innova

The MPV which has been leading the segment in terms of customer response not only in the Philippines but across the globe is Toyota Innova, which holds a strong chance to be showcased at the Toyota’s booth. The all-new Innova has been updated not only in terms of exterior styling but, with a refreshed cabin as well, which holds latest technology and all the comfort features, making Innova a class leading car. Under the hood, it is offered with two engine options. One is 2.0-litre 4-Cylinder engine which delivers 136 PS maximum power and 183 Nm peak torque. The bigger 2.8-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine further raise the output figures to 167- 171 PS maximum power and 343 -360 Nm peak torque. Let’s see if we have some offers and discounts offered with Innova at Toyota’s booth.

Toyota Fortuner

The sturdy and sporty SUV, which is the flagship model of Toyota cannot miss such a big event happening in the Philippines. We expect Toyota will showcase Fortuner at its booth to attract Fortuner lovers in an efficient manner. The SUV which is designed to dominate the rough terrains along with maneuvring on city roads with authority, Fortuner is the country’s top selling SUV. Currently, it is offered with three engine choices, which include 2.4-litre, 2.7-litre and 2.8-litre. The power figure varies from 147 - 174 hp and peak torque measures between 245 - 450 Nm.
