Toyota to ramp up Sept.-Nov. production

MANILA: Toyota has expressed its apology for the adjustments made to its production plans due to the parts shortage brought on by the spread of COVID-19.

The global production plan for the months of September through November has been updated to a higher volume; it is now expected to average around 900,000 units each month. This plan is supported by careful verification of the suppliers' personnel structures, facility capacities, and parts supply. Toyota promised to keep monitoring the situation and make every effort to deliver as many vehicles to the customers as soon as possible.

The production forecast for the fiscal year remains at approximately 9.7 million units.
