The digital world premiere for the ID. Aero will take place on June 27.
When it enters production, the ID. Aero will be sold in the upper-middle class segment and boost Volkswagen's Accelerate EV strategy, the carmaker said.
Like all Volkswagen electric models to date, the elegant new sedan is based on Volkswagen’s Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB). In terms of looks, the ID. Aero will wear the unmistakable design language of the ID. 4 and ID. Buzz. For example, the exterior design of the five-meter-long ID. Aero is flowing and precise.
The concept car's aerodynamic front and roof help to reduce energy consumption and increase range.
In the Chinese market, the ID. Aero is expected to go on sale in the second half of 2023. The ID. Aero for the North American and European market will be presented in the same year.
Production of the ID. Aero for the European and North American automobile markets will be done at the Volkswagen plant in Emden.
