VW to Introduce New Tiguan and Coupe Concept at Frankfurt
MANILA:Volkswagen is ready to showcase it's Tiguan along with it's CC coupe at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new 2016 Tiguan will be based on VW group's latest MQB platform architecture and would stand against Mazda CX-5 and Nissan Qashqai in early 2016.
Both the models are likely to resemble T-Roc concept car and C Coupe GTE concept respectively. The Frankfurt Show is going to be held in few weeks and Volkswagen haven't reveiled much details about the 2016 Tiguan. The new Tiguan gets a complete reprofiling with larger wheel base and equipped with LED lights in the front and rear.
The car is likely to be available in a 5-seat and 7-seat version targeting specific market section. The rear looks a bit chunkier than before, it's because of the increase in the boot space. However the interior is likely to hold more passenger space and come up with latest VW connectivity features. The company will introduce a sporty variant in coming days – the Tiguan R, installed with more powerful engine.
At the Frankfurt Motor Show, Volkswagen has planned to release the latest version of it's CC coupe. The details of this car is yet to be revealed by the company but the design layout of the CC coupe will be inspired by the C Coupe GTE concept which was unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show.
