Yes, you can plop down a reservation for the Volkswagen T-Cross now
MANILA: In what could be considered a watershed moment for Volkswagen in the Philippines, this 2021 the brand has finally launched the long-awaited 2021 Volkswagen T-Cross and is set to disrupt the white-hot compact crossover SUV market.
Cool
Volkswagen Philippines is proud about applying its new design language for the all-new 2021 Volkswagen T-Cross. With bold, angular lines and sharp edges, the T-Cross exudes a more youthful vibe compared to the brand’s current simple, uncluttered offerings. The top-of-the-line SE trim offers color-matched interior trim that mirrors the new, exciting exterior colors, namely Tribu, Syringia Violet, Romance Red, Polar White, and Chinchilla Grey.
The new design has garnered multiple awards as it has rolled out to 55 markets, and since 2016 the Volkswagen T-Cross has racked up more than 300,000 units sold. More than a quarter of million satisfied buyers can’t be all wrong.
Versatile
Part of the appeal of being in the market for a compact SUV is the space and versatility afforded to potential buyers, and the 2021 Volkswagen T-Cross has this in spades. Touting the longest wheelbase in five-seater subcompact SUV class at 2,651mm, the T-Cross offers 329 liters of cargo space which can be further expanded to 1,319 liters with the seats folded down.
This can prove most useful especially during those grocery runs where you have to buy as much supplies as you can possibly get and complete all your errands all in one go, reducing your risk of contracting the deadly virus by spending more time at home. Of course, once this all blows over you can pack all your stuff for a well deserved out-of-towner with the family and friends!
Comfortable
With all your stuff packed in, the all-new 2021 Volkswagen T-Cross has you covered with a comfortable and intuitive interior. Every nook and cubby is at exactly where you need it to be, ready for your convenience. You can also easily connect your smartphone thanks to smart integration with the massive 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the range-topping SE trim with Apple CarPlay and AppConnect.
Your passengers won’t be sitting on penalty boxes themselves as they are pampered by rear A/C vents and their very own USB ports to charge their devices.
Safe
Volkswagen Philippines offers all models with standard LED taillights, electronic stabilization program, rear parking distance control as well as cruise control and tire pressure monitoring system. Pair all these with a strong body structure to withstand collisions and you’ve got one of the safest subcompact SUVs certified five stars from the Euro NAP, ANCAP, and Latin NCAP. The top-of-the-line SE model ups the ante with full LED headlamps, six airbags, autonomous emergency braking, and a useful rear camera.
Performance and maintenance
Powering the all-new 2021 Volkswagen T-Cross is a 1.5-liter multi-point injection engine making 113ps and 145Nm of torque. Responsible for bringing those horses down to the front wheels is an advanced six-speed automatic transmission with a tiptronic control system. These power figures are on par with the competition, but while fuel efficiency ratings haven’t been tested on our local roads yet, Volkswagen believes that this should be adequate to keep up with the youth’s active and hectic lifestyle and should deliver optimum fuel efficiency.
Parts are plenty for those worried about durability and maintaining the all-new 2021 Volkswagen T-Cross as it holds one of the most affordable preventive maintenance schedule (PMS) plans in the local market. Volkswagen warranties the vehicle for three years or up to 100,000 km (whichever comes first) and has an active parts warranty for the first two years of ownership. Customers also have more flexibility with their PMS visits with the T-Cross needing to be serviced only once a year or after every 10,000 km. This not only shows Volkswagen’s confidence in the T-Cross but a commitment toward customer satisfaction.
Price
Pricing for the all-new 2021 T-Cross is now available with a P30,000 discount for a very limited time before its release into dealerships. You can get the entry-level T-Cross for an introductory price of P1.098 million, and range-topping one can be had for P1.198 million. These prices would most definitely hike up after the promo period and does not reflect Safeguard Duties as of yet, so it is best to visit or contact the nearest Volkswagen dealership to lock in your reservation.
