Things we like
|
The new Toyota Rush is far more striking and modern to look at compared to the dull and old school looking previous generation model. With features like angular LED headlamps and front bold chrome grille at the front and sleek LED tail lamps at the rear, the new Toyota Rush is definitely a vehicle from present generation aimed at Gen-Y buyers. Not only this, the presence of side body cladding and roof rails do manage to add some macho appeal to the new Rush. With the presence of an additional third row of seats, the new Toyota Rush gives the flexibility of a seven-seater, which the previous generations of Rush simply didn’t offer. The two extra seats not only are able to accommodate two extra passengers but also aid in flexible seating configurations, opening up extra boot space as and when required. Apart from this flexibility in space, the new Toyota Rush also has few more bottle and cup holders in the cabin, thus increasing the practicality of it. Like all the other UVs from Toyota, the Rush feels solidly put together with indestructible build quality despite catering to entry-level buyers. This strong build and nice fit and finish make it reliable to use for a longer run. |
Impressive In-Cabin Comfort: Toyota Yaris offers exceptional comfort and spaciousness comparable to entry-level sedans. Stylish and Aggressive Design: The Toyota Yaris breaks free from its dull styling reputation with a fresh and modern look. Ample Space and Support: The cabin provides remarkable rear space and comfortable seating with great cushioning and support. Characteristic Front-End Design: The Yaris stands out with a bold front grille, sleek headlamps, and an overall aggressive appeal. Appealing Size and Rear-End Styling: Despite its compact size, the Yaris looks substantial due to its long wheelbase and aggressive rear-end design. |
Things we don't like
|
As striking the new Toyota Rush looks on the outside, the interior cabin of the MUV feels very simple and could have styled in a much more modern and eye-catching manner. The dashboard feels very staid and boring for a car of this class, with a too subtle approach in designing the instrument console and center panel of the dashboard diluting the overall premium feel of the Rush on the inside. The 1.5-litre petrol engine with which the Toyota Rush is fitted with is not as exciting as the figures on paper. Thanks to its MUV stance, the power delivery from the engine feels linear, which seems comfortable but is not too involving in overall driving feel. |
Engine Power Discrepancy at Higher RPMs: The Toyota Yaris demonstrates a noticeable lack of power in its engine when operating at higher RPMs, potentially affecting its overall performance. Dated Cabin Layout: Over time, the cabin layout of the Toyota Yaris has begun to feel outdated, potentially diminishing its appeal in comparison to more contemporary designs. Insufficient Modern Features: The Yaris falls short in terms of incorporating modern features that are becoming increasingly expected in the automotive market, potentially impacting its competitiveness in its segment. |
