Aspiring People's Car
When my wife repeatedly complained that she had a hard time hailing a tricycle to shuttle our granddaughter to her nursery class I thought this was the high point that I should contemplate on buying something to mitigate her irritation and potential stressful moment. I am particularly a believer of product reviews thus after personal consultation with close associates, I took time to read each everyday-car's reviews from its owners. From the shortlist of three major brands, I decided to try once again the Mitsubishi after owning a Lancer wayback 1988 and satisfyingly lived with that car until we have to dispose it giving way to a newer model five years later. True enough this Mirage had made my wife smile each time she drives the kids with each CVT so effortlessly make her wade through the traffic jams notwithstanding its superb fuel mileage. As a matter of fact our company bought a fleet of the same brand for it's employee car plan probably believing what I recommended. Finally I would say that sooner, this car might become a people's car.
DesignIt is a car made simply for the purpose of conveying people safely, economically and comfortably from one point to another. Not a complicated design but one that could survive years of existence. Aerodynamically designed to achieve good mileage and smooth mobility without consuming too much space on the road. Yet it can handle highway speeds without worrying that it might encounter turbulence when side-by-side those large vehicles.
ComfortWe did not encounter any problem on its airconditioning unit the past two years that this car was in our possession. Even in the middle of the day when temperatures soar, the system can handle the additional burden of providing comfort to its passengers. Since I am an avid music lover, we had to buy a much superior sound system to satisfy our kids listening pleasure.
PerformanceIt's my first time to drive a CVT car and I am impressed by the smooth transition of its gearing system unlike our previously owned cars that reacted with a surging motion each time I ask for more power and speed. That was not a Mitsubishi :-) And to think that this car Mirage has only three spark plugs to fire. :-)
SafetySafety for me is quick braking response and the ability to evade near-miss sideswipes caused by non-cautious drivers on the road. Our Mirage G4 does its part by making sure it brakes when the moment demands. I like its smooth steering response.I am giving this car a revalida period of five years before I would say how it served us. Definitely on its second year, we are co-existing happily despite the pandemics.
