Bold but not too old school
I have always been an ardent fan of big, bulky and boxy looking SUVs – they are all about masculinity and have tremendous road presence like no other. Having said that, while upgrading from a midsize sedan to a big SUV, I was out for an option which was latest out there in the market. With this regard, the Nissan Terra attracted me the most. The SUV has incredible road presence which puts all the similarly priced pseudo SUVs and crossovers to shame. The Terra allows me to tower over all the biggest of potholes and speed breakers with complete ease, however, maneuvering it in tight city traffic is a trouble sometimes. For my long highway runs, the Nissan Terra feels like an absolute mile muncher. The ride quality is comfortable and allows me to count on miles with fewer stops. The space in all the three rows is ample, and my kids are at their happy best in the last row itself. The performance is not breath-taking, but lively enough to keep me engaging. All the comfort and convenience features inside my Terra make me feel up to date, however, I do wish that Nissan could have equipped the Terra with a sunroof, even as an option.
