Hyundai construction-duty trucks expected to help with infra push

MANILA: Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai trucks and buses in the Philippines, continues to help communities adjust in the new normal by offering a wide range of construction-duty trucks that can be used for key infrastructure projects such as roadways, health-related structures, and isolation facilities.

Hyundai offers the HD36L Maxculado dropside truck that comes with an added stabilizer bar to strengthen front-end rigidity and enhance steering stability. It also features an improved front suspension and shock absorber to guarantee the protection of the vehicle and the cargo. The light-duty truck is designed with a longer wheelbase and a longer cargo bed that can carry up to 1.7 tons of cargo. The HD36L Maxculado is powered by a 2.5-liter diesel engine that generates 130ps and 26kg-m of torque. The powertrain is mated to a six-speed transmission that produces 53% more torque compared to its predecessor, enabling a smoother and more convenient drive.

Hyundai also offers the HD Series that embodies versatility, strength, and dependability. The HD65 dropside and dump trucks and the HD78 safety loader and crane trucks are built with a heat-treated, ultra-rigid frame that enables outstanding performance and heightened safety. The HD Series trucks feature an enhanced leaf-spring suspension with innovative shock-absorbing technology. They also come with a rigid cap suspension that helps reduce vibration for a smoother ride.

The HD65 and HD78 are powered by a Euro 4-compliant D4GA direct-injection diesel engine that delivers a maximum power output of 150ps at 2,500rpm and maximum torque of 59kg-m at 1,400rpm. The engine is coupled to a five-speed manual transmission. This highly efficient engine operation delivers generous power while boasting less fuel consumption. For easy access to the engine compartment, the HD65 and HD78 both come with the 50-degree tilting cab feature. The two HD Series trucks are also equipped with an advanced integrated fuel filter that requires service at 20,000-km intervals, making maintenance checks effortless and provides greater savings for the operations.

Another highly dependable Hyundai construction-duty truck lineup is the Xcient that includes a transit mixer and a dump truck. It features a bold exterior look accentuated by a striking front grille and dynamic lines. The Xcient trucks are built with Hyundai's signature high-strength steel that makes them durable and dependable on any road condition. The Xcient features a front and rear multi-link suspension system that can carry heavy loads with great ease. For easier maintenance, Hyundai has increased the cab's tilt angle to 61 degrees and enlarged the tilting cylinder to secure the volume of tilting pump reservoir. The upper components are also highly protected to avoid oil leakage. To ensure vehicle safety, the brake system uses spring-loaded chamber at the front and rear wheels for service and parking brakes.
