The entire cabin of the Dongfeng Cargo Truck carries an all-grey theme, and while the fit and finish levels feel below average, the cabin here feels spacious and decently equipped for a commercial vehicle.

The steering wheel of the Dongfeng Cargo Truck has a four-spoke design with a curved theme for the side spokes and comes integrated with buttons for audio and MID settings for the instrument console, which is placed behind the steering wheel and has an all-analogue theme for the gauges.

The centre console, which has a wraparound design while being a part of the driver’s cockpit, accommodates AC vents and a 1-DIN audio system with Bluetooth compatibility within it, below which there are rounded dials for the manual AC. While the Dongfeng Cargo Truck has manually operated side windows, the driver seat height can be adjusted manually in this truck.

The Dongfeng Cargo Truck has a modern appearance at the front, with the rectangular-themed design for the entire fascia enhancing its overall size and stance as a full-sized, heavy-duty truck even more. While the KD6Z 24-ft (6-wheeler) version of the Dongfeng Cargo Truck has a 6-ton front axle and 10x2 ton single-reduction rear axles, the K04U 32-ft (10-wheeler) version of the Dongfeng Cargo Truck has 7 ton front axle and 10x2 ton single-reduction tandem axle with axle lock and wheel lock for the rear axles.

There are two engine options offered across the variant lineup of the Dongfeng Cargo Truck. The KD6Z 24-ft (6-wheeler) version of the Dongfeng Cargo Truck has a Cummins ISD270-50 6.7-litre diesel engine, which produces 270 bhp of power and 970 Nm of truck and is coupled to an 8-speed manual transmission. The larger K04U 32-ft (10-wheeler) version of the Dongfeng Cargo Truck is powered by a Cummins ISL380-50 8.9-litre diesel engine, which claims 380 bhp of power and 1700 Nm of torque while being paired to a 12-speed manual transmission.

The Dongfeng Cargo Truck has been equipped with basic safety and security features, including a manual lock for the driver cabin, seat belts for the cabin occupants and an engine immobiliser.
