Foton Tornado

The Foton Tornado is a very popular light duty truck in the Philippines ever since it was introduced in the market over two years ago. The light duty is available in multiple cab designs and offers a versatile platform for people who need a capable and reliable vehicle to transport cargo. The Tornado Series of trucks comes with multiple powertrain options which are all Cummins turbo diesel engines. These range from a 2.0-litre, to a 2.8-litre, and a 3.5-litre motor based on the variant. Power figures range from 117 hp to 154 hp and torque numbers start at 172 Nm on the entry-level engine and go up to 500 Nm. It has a payload capacity ranging from 2,000 kgs to 4,800 kgs depending on the variant of the vehicle. Prices for the truck start at P715,000 for the entry-level trim which is the Tornado 2 E3 Turbo Cargo 11 ft and goes up to P 2,225,000 for Tornado M6.1C. Key rivals of the truck are Fuso FJ 2528R, Fuso FJ 1823R, Hino FL10, Isuzu N-Series and Isuzu F-Series.

Foton Tornado Power-trains

The Tornado is powered by a Diesel 2800 cc 4-Cylinder that gives 129hp of power at 3200 rpm and 310 Nm Torque at 1300-3200 rpm.

It comes with the option of a 5-Speed Manual transmission gearbox.
