Isuzu E-Series Review 2026
Abhishek Katariya says
Sitting at the top of the lineup of trucks in Isuzu’s portfolio is the E-Series. It is the biggest and most powerful full-size truck the Japanese manufacturer has ever come up with. Offered in a sole paint shade of white, the Isuzu E-Series is available in two different variants – EXR52 and EXZ52.

Isuzu E-Series Interior & Features
Isuzu has made the interior cabin of the E-Series look simple and functional to the core. While it looks big on the inside, it is frills-free and lack any modern design elements and features to make it feel like a vehicle designed by modern standards.
The driver’s cockpit constitutes of a large two-spoke steering wheel and a big instrument console which houses a total of eight analog dials to display various readouts on the go, along with a tiny digital MID nestled in the middle of it. The entire cabin can be electronically tilted at the touch of a button for easier inspection of the engine.
The all-black dashboard feels purposeful with enough open storage spaces and basic features like a radio-enabled single DIN music system, power windows and tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel. The cabin has three seats placed side by side, with the middle seat having the crucial possibility of having a back tray which can be used when folded downwards.
E-Series Exterior
The Isuzu E-Series might be sitting at the top of the truck lineup, and with this, one would expect to have an air of premium and modern designing in it. However, there is nothing as such, with the Isuzu E-Series having a very basic design language. The entire design is very much similar to the C-Series positioned just below it.
The front windscreen of the Isuzu E-Series is huge and comes with three intermittent wipers and curved edges on all four ends. The front fascia looks quite broad with a trapezoidal front grille which is segmented into six parts and two vertical and protruding faux vents placed on the outer edges of the front panel.
Enhancing the huge and heightened stance of the Isuzu E-Series is the large front bumper, which here is finished in body colour. At the middle of it is an additional front grille which sports multiple slats, and at the outer corners of it, there are four-sided big headlamps which have tapered sides and do include fog lamps and turn indicators.
The integrated steps to climb in the cabin on the side doors do accentuate its height very well. The wide look of the side profile of the Isuzu E-Series is helmed by the large window panels on the side and heavy black cladding over the front wheels. The presence of large dual rearview mirrors on either side also increase its wide stance even more.
Isuzu E-Series Ride & Handling
Based on the same platform as that of the C-Series, the Isuzu E-Series gets more sophisticated and more heavy-duty tapered leaf springs on both the front as well as rear. The brakes on both the ends are full air and auto adjustable, with the auxiliary exhaust brake at the place.
E-Series Engine & Fuel Consumption
The large Isuzu E-Series deserves a large heart to propel it off, and it rightly gets one too. The full-size truck gets the same 15.7-litre six-cylinder diesel engine from the C-Series, which is married to a 16-speed manual gearbox and produces a maximum power output of 420 PS and a peak torque output of 1863 Nm.
Isuzu E-Series Braking & Safety
Save for the presence of ABS as well as manual central locking with auto door lock function, there is no other prominent safety feature which can give the Isuzu E-Series an upper edge over other trucks.
E-Series Verdict
The Isuzu E-Series misses out on being the perfect flagship truck, for the lack of many new-age features and bland styling in and out restricting its contemporary feel as compared to other full-size trucks available in the market. However, for the excellent powertrain as well as heavy-duty mechanicals which are hugely reliable as well, the Isuzu E-Series is worth considering for.
