All-new Mercedes-Benz Arocs truck now available in PH

MANILA: Mercedes-Benz Philippines recently brought in the newest addition to its truck lineup, the Mercedes-Benz Arocs.

The new Arocs was globally introduced in a digital premiere last January. It was brought into the country by Auto Nation Group, the official distributor of Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles in the Philippines.

The Arocs is powered by a Euro 4 OM 471 six-cylinder in-line engine that delivers a power output of 330kW (449hp) and a maximum torque of 2,200Nm. The truck’s powerful engine enables smooth performance on the road despite being able to carry the heaviest loads. The Arocs uses an exclusive Mercedes-Benz fuel injection system that is developed with a lesser fuel quantity requirement for combustion.

The powertrain is mated to a Mercedes Powershift 3 automated gearshift that provides higher driving comfort, precise gear selection, and low fuel consumption. The Powershift 3 uses sensitive sensor technology to precisely adapt the gear selection based on the driving style and load condition for easier transport.

The cab features a sturdy design that is reliable on any road condition.

In a statement, Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles Philippines General Manager Carlo Arguelles described the Arocs as a workhorse that “delivers what the practical realities require on the construction site and on the road.”
