PH gov't brings back 'Love Bus', now in Valenzuela City

MANILA: The Philippine government has brought back the iconic Love Bus.

Launched at the Valenzuela Gateway Complex in Valenzuela City, Love Bus program aims to provide the public with free rides in Metro Manila. the  

Per the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the modern and eco-friendly electric buses for the Love Bus Project are sourced from the PWD–Electric Transportation Service under the DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program, providing rides that are comfortable, inclusive, and open to all students, workers, families, and communities.

According to the agency, the Love Bus will ply two routes. Below are their respective stops:

Route 1

• Macaya Wilcon 
• Mira Nila 
• Tierra Pura 
• Iglesia Luzon

To use the bus, commuters must download the Love Bus app at Google Play Store. Here, they can see the routes and schedule of the bus with the first trip starting at 5 a.m. and the last trip running until 10 p.m.

“To fulfill President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s vision of safe, reliable, and accessible transport for every Filipino, the iconic Love Bus Libreng Sakay Project officially returns today (September 13) with its launch at the Valenzuela Gateway Complex in Valenzuela City,” DSWD wrote in a social media post.

“With every trip, the Love Bus carries Filipinos closer to a Bagong Pilipinas where no one is left behind,” it added.
