LTO delivers vehicle replacement plates to Bicolanos

MANILA: In its bid to expedite their release, the Land Transportation Office’s (LTO) arm in Bicol is delivering replacement vehicle license plates to their respective owners.

In a social media post by LTO Iriga District Office, it stated that it organized a motor vehicle distribution drive earlier this month.

The said initiative “involved a door-to-door delivery approach, ensuring that vehicle owners received their replacement plates directly at their homes,” Land Transportation Office - Bicol wrote.

 

Relatedly, the Department of Transportation’s outfit in the Cordillera Region conducted barangay and house-to-house distribution of unclaimed license plates last month. The said drive was conducted in the Upper, Middle, and Lower Quezon Hill, as well as in Baguio City, which ensured that the number plates were delivered to their rightful owners.

“The agency's unwavering commitment to public service exemplifies its efforts toward building a Bagong Pilipinas,” DOTr Cordillera Region said in a Facebook post.

To recall, LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Attorney Vigor Mendoza II has once considered using malls as distribution centers for number plates. 

Similarly, the bureau also allowed those who who requested for the printing of their driver’s licenses through the hotline to either pick up the item at the LTO Central Office in Quezon City or send the plastic driver’s license through a courier service.
