Lexus PH plays key roles in 2026 Toyota GR PH Cup season finale

MANILA: Lexus Philippines has thrown its support for the final leg of the 2026 Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Philippine Cup, set today at Clark International Speedway, where it will play major roles in the season finale.

The premium marque's two premium offerings  led and trailed the race cars during the warm-up lap: the LBX will serve as the event's lead car, while the RX 500h F SPORT Performance will be the medical car.

The premium automaker’s local arm sees the motorsport event as a “fitting setting for Lexus to share its enduring passion for motorsport.”

“Through the brand’s global involvement in racing, Lexus continues to explore new ideas, refine its approach to vehicle development, and draw inspiration from experiences gained on the track, bringing fans closer to its racing heritage and the exhilaration of its vehicles at the TGR Philippine Cup finale,” the company noted.

To note, the Lexus LBX combines an efficient engine with a high-output electric motor. Its drive force control modifies acceleration and deceleration based on driving conditions.

Inside, the Lexus LBX’s Tazuna-inspired cockpit has an ergonomic design that puts controls within easy reach.

“This emphasis on intuitive handling and smooth response makes the LBX a fitting choice for lead car duties, bringing the Lexus approach to precision and driver confidence to the front of the field,” Lexus Philippines claimed.

Meanwhile, the Lexus RX 500h F SPORT Performance is powered by a hybrid powertrain that works with an all-wheel-drive system to distribute driving force to all four wheels to maintain grip and composure during maneuvers.

Aside from the two, the Lexus IS Executive will be on display at the venue.

The luxury sports sedan brings together athletic styling, hybrid performance, and everyday comfort. Its features include a low, wide stance and sculpted body that complements its electrified powertrain configuration, along with its double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension to ensure responsive handling and a composed ride.

“Together, these elements deliver the balance that defines a road-going sports sedan: an engaging drive through corners and the refinement to make daily journeys comfortable,” Lexus Philippines shared.

Additionally, the nameplate also boasts a driver-focused cockpit that brings controls within easy reach, and carefully finished surfaces associated with Lexus craftsmanship.
