  • According to the Japanese truck manufacturer, the new look of its emblem is the first update in 32 years — marking a significant step forward in the company’s evolution while staying true to its core values.

The refreshed logo — the Tokyo-headquartered company noted — represents Hino’s continued transformation as it adapts to the “rapidly changing commercial vehicle industry,” while maintaining its long-standing commitment to “reliability, durability, and customer trust.”

At a glance, the new logo looks more put-together and loses the sharp accents around its edges as well as the horizontal trim at the center. The result is a more plain-looking letter “H,” which it said comes from the “HINO” script and embodies the following values:

The sun rising above the horizon

The company’s will to “take on challenges”

A form pulling in two directions

Harmony between high technology and the environment, and a leap forward into the future

    Arrows pointing left and right

Curves on the left and right

Integrated distribution connecting trunk lines and end points

    Change, continuity

Per Hino, the new design signals a more modern and forward-looking identity, aligned with the company’s vision of innovation and sustainability.

Despite the visual change, the logo retains the essence of the brand — reflecting consistency in delivering quality transport solutions globally.

The update also comes at a time when the global commercial vehicle sector is undergoing major shifts, driven by sustainability and carbon neutrality initiatives, advancements in vehicle technology, and increasing demand for efficient and reliable transport solutions.

Hino explained that the company continues to respond to these changes by strengthening its global operations, improving product offerings, and enhancing customer support systems.
