MANILA: Maxus is again back in the Philippine market — this time in the local truck segment — after partnering with Pioneer Trucks Philippines.

    Following this, the Maxus’ local arm for its commercial vehicle line will formally launch two all-electric trucks at this year’s Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit namely the ES80 6W and T1.

    Per Pioneer Trucks Philippines, the aforementioned nameplates that guarantee zero tailpipe emissions “represent a new chapter in sustainable transport and logistics for Filipino businesses.”

    ES80 6W

    The drivetrain is mated to a 53.58 kilowatt-hour lithium-phosphate battery that can be juiced up in 1.2 hours using a DC charger.

    Designed for medium-duty operations, the Maxus T1 comes with a battery-powered motor either with a 100- or 120-kilowatt-hour capacity) that allows the powertrain to give a churn of:

    Meanwhile, Pioneer Trucks Philippines mentioned that lineup expansion is also on the horizon as it will offer the ES80 4-Wheeler light truck and the EH300 (a heavy-duty 8.5-ton model designed for large-scale logistics and distribution) soon.
