TMA, ABMAP all set for inaugural Philippine International Truck Show

MANILA: The Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) and Automotive Body Manufacturers Association of the Philippines (ABMAP) will conduct the inaugural Philippine International Truck Show (PITS) on October 22-24 at the SMX Convention Center Manila.

Carrying the theme “Driving Progress Together,” the exhibition is eyed to be one of the biggest truck industry events in the country, bringing together truck manufacturers, commercial vehicle brands, body builders, fleet operators, transport stakeholders, government representatives, and industry partners under one roof.

PITS is expected to provide a new platform for the Philippine trucking and commercial vehicle industry to strengthen collaborations and showcase technologies and ideas that will help shape the future of mobility, logistics, and transportation in the country.

In a statement, TMA expressed firm belief that through PITS, TMA and ABMAP could further strengthen the entire commercial vehicle ecosystem—connecting vehicle manufacturers and distributors with body builders, fleet customers, logistics companies, transport operators, government agencies, suppliers, and other key industry stakeholders.

They also noted that the event is also aimed at creating opportunities for dialogue and knowledge-sharing regarding the needs of the Philippine transport sector, while encouraging closer cooperation among industry players toward safer, more efficient, sustainable, and future-ready transportation.

“As the Philippine economy continues to expand, trucks and commercial vehicles remain an essential part of the country’s transportation and logistics network—supporting the movement of goods, businesses, infrastructure development, public services, and communities nationwide,” TMA shared.

What can visitors expect at the 1st PITS

The 1st Philippine International Truck Show will showcase a wide range of commercial vehicles, truck applications, body configurations, and new technologies—from light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks to specialized vehicle applications and customized body solutions.

Visitors will also get a glimpse into the future of commercial mobility, including emerging technologies and next-generation vehicle solutions that could play important roles “in the transformation of the Philippine transportation and logistics sector.”
