Hino to integrate with Mitsubishi Fuso via startup Archion Corp.

SENDAI: Hino Motors Limited will become integrated with the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation via the newly established Archion Corporation. 

The holding company is located in Shinigawa Ward, Tokyo, Japan and is scheduled to commence operations on April 1, 2026. 

Archion Corporation — named after the “enduring connection and the creation of future transportation” — will help solidify Hino’s long-standing commitment to quality, business efficiency, and customer-centered mobility solutions. 

Hino Motors Limited President and Chief Executive Officer Satoshi Ogiso has been appointed Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer of Archion Corporation. 

“First and foremost, we are committed to putting our customers at the center of everything we do to drive business success,” Ogiso was quoted as saying. 

“Both Mitsubishi Fuso and Hino have built strong relationships with customers in our respective markets. To further strengthen these bonds, it is essential that we continue to refine our products — the key touchpoints between us and our customers,” he added.

Strategic business advantage 

The forthcoming integration of Hino Motors Limited with Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation is a strategic move that will allow the former to scale its customer-first approach across a broader platform. 

In addition, the seat taken by Ogiso will ensure that Hino Motors Limited’s engineering discipline, manufacturing standards and innovation philosophy will drive the group’s future technology roadmap.

Through Archion Corporation, Hino Motors Limited will gain access to combined strengths in research and development, procurement, production and logistics, enabling cost efficiencies, accelerated development cycles, and expanded serving capabilities. 

Archion Representative Director and Chief Financial Officer Hetal Laligi reinforced the financial roadmap underpinning the said operational integration: “Our financial ambition for the new group is rooted in a clear strategy — unlocking the full potential of this integration by realizing synergies and growth opportunities. We aim to elevate financial resilience and performance to peer benchmark level.”

Hino Motors Limited also noted that key to this partnership is the Integrated Platform Model that allows both companies to retain distinct identities while benefiting from shared systems. 

“Healthy internal competition will drive continuous improvement, ensuring customers receive enhanced product variety, superior quality and improved long-term value,” Hino Motors Limited wrote in a press release. 

Finally, Archion Corporation has committed to consolidating five domestic truck production sites into three by 2028 — thereby strengthening efficiency and secure future scalability.
