Geely PH boosts aftermarket service with local logistics firm

HAMAMATSU: Geely Motors Philippines’ (GMP) partnership with logistics player SF Philippines has resulted in a strengthened aftersales network. 

According to GMP, SF Philippines has helped the brand achieve a first-time fulfillment rate (FTFR) of about 95 percent across its nationwide dealership network. In addition, the latter also helped the former streamline deliveries and improve dealer support.

“This partnership reflects how we want Geely to grow in the Philippines, by building a smarter, more connected ecosystem for mobility,” GMP Chief Executive Officer Sylva Yu was quoted as saying. 

“We are not just expanding our network; we are investing in logistics, sustainability, and partnerships that enhance the customer experience,” the Chinese carmaker’s head honcho added. 

Driving efficiency 

Per GMP, the company’s parts and logistics system became more responsive after their partnership with SF Philippines. 

Its warehousing and delivery network moves parts from Geely’s central warehouse to dealerships nationwide to allow most dealer requests to be fulfilled on the first attempt.

“An FTFR efficiency rate of 95 percent is comparable to fulfillment benchmarks among mature automotive networks. For Geely, maintaining this level requires constant coordination with its logistics partner and ongoing improvements in warehouse operations, reflecting the company’s growing capability under the direct-operations model,” the company wrote in a press release. 

GMP has a spare parts warehouse in Cabuyao, Laguna. It is a 4,700-square-meter hub that supports 12 delivery routes and holds an inventory valued at approximately P290 million. 

With SF Philippines managing deliveries and route planning, parts now reach dealerships faster and more consistently, reducing repair lead times and minimizing vehicle downtime for customers.

These improvements built on GMP’s shift to direct operations earlier this year, which introduced upgraded systems, closer logistics oversight and stronger coordination across its aftersales network.

Geely Santa Rosa reveals improvements

GMP’s Santa Rosa, Laguna dealership — the brand’s first dealer under its direct operations — has reflected the aforementioned efficiency gains. 

The facility is said to have achieved faster turnaround times and stronger parts availability, showing how logistics improvements have translated to more reliable customer service. 

Sustainability, outlook

GMP’s partnership with SF Philippines also highlights the car manufacturer’s commitment to sustainable mobility. 

As part of the partnership, SF Philippines purchased Geely Okavango Elite, Coolray, and EX5 units for its corporate fleet, which include hybrid and fully electric models aligned with both companies’ drive for cleaner, more efficient transport solutions.

“The Geely-SF Philippines partnership shows how steady collaboration and logistics innovation can strengthen reliability and customer confidence. As Geely builds on its 95 percent FTFR performance, the company aims to refine its systems, sustain progress and deliver even greater efficiency for Filipino drivers,” GMP wrote.
