The Nissan N7, meanwhile, is classed as a saloon (sedan). For now, the Japanese marque’s local arm has not confirmed if all of these are just previews or actual launches, but the fact that they are being brought to the said car show belies the company’s aggressive electrification plan for the local market.
We can, however, presume that these nameplates are part of the brand’s 45-strong global portfolio as part of its RE:Nissan global strategy.

Nissan X-Trail, Kicks e-Power
First off are the e-Power versions of the X-Trail and the Kicks, which are now being sold and produced in Thailand.
Notably, the X-Trail e-Power is a comebacking model since its older versions were sold locally from 2003-2022. The newer one with the e-Power was previously showcased at the 2024 PIMS, though at that time, Nissan was mum with regard to a local launch.

Power is sent to all four wheels via the Nissan e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive system. It also has the familiar e-Pedal Step regenerative braking system that enables single pedal driving, as well as multiple drive modes for both engine management and terrain.
The Nissan Kicks e-Power shown on the teaser, meanwhile, looks exactly like the Thai-spec version. In this case, it bears a sharper, more modern look while retaining the same 1.5-liter three-cylinder mill and single-motor setup.

Both rides also come with the latest version of Nissan’s ProPilot suite of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS).
Frontier Pro PHEV
One of the four models to be showcased at the 10th PIMS by Nissan Philippines Incorporated is the Frontier PHEV. If one remembers, this nameplate was previously launched in China just last year.
Photo from Nissan Motor Corporation LimitedInterestingly, the Frontier name was attached to the old diesel pickup truck model that was replaced by the Navara for the local market. The new one, however, is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) that uses a 1.5-liter gasoline inline-four mill and an electric motor.
Altogether, the off-road-capable PHEV pickup truck can churn out 402 horsepower and 800 Newton-meters of torque. It also has an electric-only range of 135 kilometers, according to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
Nissan N7
The Japanese marque’s sole EV to be showcased at 2026 PIMS is the N7, which again, was a nameplate that was introduced for China back in 2024.
For this one, though, we already know it is indeed heading for the local market, as it has already received a nod from the Department of Energy (DOE). In the same DOE publication, it was stated that the car can produce up to 214 hp and is classed as a “saloon.”

Notably, if the Nissan N7 is indeed entering the country, it could be the brand’s first-ever all-electric offering for Filipinos. It will also be the first-ever product made by Nissan-Dongfeng to enter the local market.
So, which of these Nissan nameplates are you excited to see at the upcoming 10th PIMS?
