Sleek, modern looks
The MG S5 EV takes on the design language of the company’s offerings — resulting in a sleek and modern exterior that is very much MG.

The side profile is similarly minimalist with some thin cladding on the wheel arches and side sills. It sports body-colored, physical door handles, chrome trims on the windows, elegant roof rails, and a set of 17-inch wheels with 215/60-series tires.

Overall, it looks the part of an EV for the city. But it has more to offer than just a modern look; it is also an energy-efficient automobile.
Low drag coefficient
The MG S5 EV is touted as an efficient electric vehicle with a drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.28.
According to the local wing of MG in the Philippines, a crossover clocks in at Cd 0.36, while sedans usually get around Cd 0.32.
The said figure is achieved through its aerodynamic appointments such as active grille shutters at the front end, aerodynamic wheels, and functional vents (or air dams) on the car’s cheeks.

To put things into perspective, a one-way trip from Santa Rosa, Laguna to Bonifacio Global City, Taguig is approximately 35 kilometers. This means a full charge can amount to a week’s worth of commute before one needs to plug the vehicle back in for a charge.
Tech-oriented interior
The cabin of the MG S5 EV will also appeal to newer car buyers who value technology.
Past the car’s flat-top, flat-bottom, multi-functional steering wheel is a 10.25-inch instrument cluster. It is accompanied by a floating 12.8-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
