MG GT

This car carries some great interior design language. Starting from its dashboard that houses chrome trim air-con vents and information system that is again guarded by vertical air-cons. The center console is packed with features and carries a distinct shape. Moving down towards the center tunnel that houses the gear shaft, hand break and some cup holders where you can keep your hot cappuccino. The steering wheel is nicely wrapped and is embossed with utility buttons making the ride convenient for the driver. MG GT is a fusion of coupe-like looks and sedan-like comfort. One thing whose prominent presence is felt on the entire car is the bold character lines. Starting from the front fascia, the car features a thin but aggressive looking grille that towards its end smoothly blends into the curvaceous headlights. It also showcases a honeycomb shaped air vent that is guarded by distinctly shaped fog lamps, but its bumper housing steals the show; the nicely crafted with V-shaped contour lines gives the car a bold look. Moving to its side, where body lines continues to give the car a more defined look. In addition, it also features body-coloured door handles; indicators integrated ORVM and well-designed wheel arches. The automaker has designed the car with a decent length of 4,612 mm along with the height of 1,488 mm. The overall width of the car reads 1,804 mm and its wheelbase measures 2,650 mm, allowing you to have ample relaxing space inside the car.

Wheels

While all the three 1.4-litre engine options deliver fuel consumption of 5.9L per 100 km. Further, both these engines are accompanied with various transmissions like a five-speed manual, four-speed automatic, six-speed automatic and a top-of-the-line seven-speed dual clutch transmission. Both the power mills are capable of generating great power figures that reads 107 hp @ 6,000 rpm and 208 hp @ 5,600 rpm respectively. Like its power figures, torque figures also vary from one another and that too with a great difference. Power

This coupe-styled sedan is available in two engine options, first is an NSE 1.5 DVVT power mill and the second is an SGE 1.4 TGI option. Former one delivers a maximum power output of 107 hp @ 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 135 Nm @ 4,500 rpm. While, the latter one generates 208 hp @ 5,600 rpm and 235 Nm @ 1600-4400 rpm.

Acceleration & Pickup

The variants fitted with a five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmission gearbox, zoom in from a standstill position towards the 100km mark in 12.8 seconds and 13.9 seconds respectively. Each of them further displays a top speed of 180 km/h and 170 km/h. If the above-mentioned figures fail to impress you, we would suggest you to opt for any of three trim levels with a 1.4L TGI engine option. They can roar to a top speed of 200 km/h and can hit the 100 kmph mark from naught in just 5.9 seconds.
