MANILA: Guangzhou Automobile Group Company Limited (GAC Group) has exported a total of 145,030 vehicles from January-July 2026.

GAC Group shipped 23,575 vehicles to markets around the world in July 2026.The aforementioned is a significant export milestone for the Chinese marque as it represents a 130 percent year-on-year increase. Furthermore, the brand has shared that this export figure in the first seven months of 2026 has surpassed its 2025 full-year export total.
In July 2026 alone, the company has shipped a total of 23,575 units to different parts of the globe. According to GAC Group, this is also equivalent to a 119 percent year-on-year increase as well.

In the context of the Philippine market, GAC International Philippines has attained a rank of 19th overall in the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI). Specifically, it has sold a total of 800 units in the first half (January-June) of the year.
The company’s local arm has also boosted its presence in the country with six new upcoming dealerships in Luzon and Mindanao. For reference, these will be established at the following locations:
- Alabang
- Bacoor
- Las Pinas
- Marikina
- Subic
- Zamboanga

GAC International Philippines’ latest models are the GN6, E8 hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and the GN8 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).
The most affordable of these is the GN6, which uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch wet-type transmission. At maximum, this powertrain sends up to 174 horsepower (hp) and 270 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque to its front wheels.

Placed in the middle of GAC’s all-new multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) trio is the E8 HEV. Price-wise, it starts at P1.858 million.
Under the hood of the GAC E8 HEV is a 2.0-liter Atkinson Cycle gasoline engine paired with an electric motor. The E8 HEV is also front-wheel-drive (FWD), but it instead uses a two-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT).
Maximum output of the E8 HEV is pegged at 179 hp and 300 Nm of torque.
The most expensive of the three is the GAC GN8 Executive PHEV, which starts at P3.488 million.
For its powertrain, this flagship MPV uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine linked to a single permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and a 25.5 kilowatt-hour (kWh) lithium iron phosphate battery.
At maximum, it can produce up to 373 hp and 630 Nm of torque. It also has an electric-only range of 120 km.

No Philippine market specs were disclosed for now, but its Department of Energy certification indicated that it uses a 2.0-liter engine, a single motor setup, and a 2.1 kilowatt-hour ternary lithium-ion battery.
With those components, the GS4 Max HEV can put out 232 hp and 300 Nm of torque.
