All-new 2017 Mercedes-Benz SLC- Updated for Future

MANILA: Mercedes-Benz has finally revealed its 2-door roadster Mercedes-Benz SLC for 2017. The 2017 Mercedes-Benz SLC has received some prominent updates. The new SLC was previously labelled as SLK, which now offers new and refreshed exterior and tweaked interior powered by a new range of engines along with a new name.

The 2017 SLC gets an arrow-shaped hood highlighted with a raked grill, which makes it look bold and classic. The front fascia comes decorated with new redesigned headlights and LED daytime running lights. The side profile carries the similar design language as the predecessor but the new alloy wheels are available in 16 or 18-inch size. The rear part also features diffuser-integrated bumper and the dual-exhaust system. The elegant LED taillights gives the roadster an aggressive look.

The interior of the 2017 SLC offers good amount of upgrades such as premium Nappa leather upholstery, a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a 4.5-inch multi-info display unit, and updated COMAND infotainment system.

Mercedes-Benz has come up with five engine choices for the 2017 SLC. The base model (SLC 180) comes powered with a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-inline engine producing 156 PS of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. The mid variant (SLC 200) offers a 2.0-litre four-inline engine capable of churning out 184 PS and 300 Nm of peak torque. The upper trim (SLC 300) comes with the most powerful 2.0-litre power mill that produces power output of 245 PS and a maximum torque of 370 Nm. The topmost variant, SLC 43 AMG will be powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine churning out 367 PS and a peak torque of 520 Nm.

However, the diesel trim, SLC 250 d comes with 2.2-litre engine producing power output of 150 PS and a powerful torque of 500 Nm. The SLC 180 and SLC 200 engines will be paired to a 6-speed manual transmission, while the SLC 300, SLC 250 d and SLC 43 AMG model variants will be coupled with a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission.
