The Kymco Xciting S 400i is powered by a four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 400.1cc engine, mated to a V-belt automatic transmission. The engine, while not as refined and smooth as that of its Japanese rivals, still has pleasant refinement levels, and belts out 36 PS of power and 37.7 Nm of torque.

For a maxi-scooter, the Kymco Xciting S 400i is decently equipped with enough safety features like a dual-channel ABS as well as key shutter mechanism for the ignition keyhole. The scooter also gets ample amount of storage spaces – the conventional one under the seat as well as two thoughtfully designed cubby holes in the front apron, the one of which also gets a USB charging slot.
