  • About Suzuki Philippines

Suzuki Philippines, Incorporated is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan. It is a manufacturer of motorcycles, scooter and big bikes, Suzuki cars and the exclusive distributor of Suzuki Automobile, Suzuki Outboard Motor and Suzuki Genuine Parts (SGP) in the Philippines.

The company originated from a Filipino family business that dates back in 1957 under the business name Rufino D. Antonio & Associates, Inc., an architectural and engineering firm. After several years, the Company ventured into appliance importations from Japan and expanded further to include motorcycles that later became its major activity in the semi-knockdown business.

With its increased business and flourishing sales, the SPI also established a factory to handle semi-knockdown production was established in 1972 along Canley Road (now Danny Floro) in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines. On 01 February 1985, the company became a wholly-owned Japanese company in the Philippines by Suzuki Motor Company Ltd. The company was totally reorganized and the name was changed to Suzuki Philippines, Incorporated.

Suzuki Motorcycles – a division of Suzuki Philippines Incorporated, and one of the big four Japanese motorcycle manufacturers in the country, showed a strong start in terms of volume sales this 2019 as reflected on Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Inc.’s (MDPPA) data.

This is after the brand’s 1st quarter sales records indicate a growth of 36%, which is even higher than the total combined sales growth of its members (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha) posted at 22% versus last year. This very impressive performance also demonstrates that Suzuki, which will be celebrating its 100th year in 2020, attained the biggest growth of 2% in the Philippine market share, among the four Japanese manufacturers compared to 2018.

In the most recent news around the brand, Suzuki has lent out 10 units of the Raider J Crossover to serve Angat Buhay’s Free Dorm for Healthcare Workers project, for the healthcare workers working tirelessly on helping in the pandemic.

    • Good intention bad execution

The Raider R150 Fi from Suzuki is certainly one of those vehicles that was made for all the right reasons, but it doesn’t really fit my needs at all. This moped and motorcycle hybrid is lightweight, so you can go offroad with this and not have to worry about ground clearance. That’s where the good things stop. Apart from that,

    • One of the most popular scooters for a reason

The Burgman Street is a very popular option when it comes to scooters nowadays. I also got on the hype train and booked one for myself. What drew me to this scooter the most was how well it was designed. Taking from the book of BMW luxury scooters, the design of this scooter allows easy riding, comfortable seating with a

    • Very narrow motorcycle

The seat is quite uncomfortable due to the weird dimensions of this motorcycle. I understand that this is a moped, but every part of it looks like a motorcycle with a very narrow body. The dimensions apart, the performance is nice and gets you places without much of a fuss. The lack of storage space is an issue for me,

The normal 110cc version is fine, but the Burgman Street truly shines with a 125cc engine. The design is better and the overall scooter is just comfortable with the 125 EX version of this scooter. The performance is also better and you can go longer distances because of the more powerful engine. The fuel efficiency is lower because of the

The Gixxer FI is a motorcycle that I love dearly. The styling of this motorcycle is to die for in my opinion because I don’t think there’s any other model that looks this good in this budget. The design is a perfect blend of modern and classic and I absolutely love how bold it looks on the streets. The use
