Suzuki Smash Carb Review 2026
Marketed as the “Number 1 Underbone Leisure Motorcycle in the Philippines”, the Suzuki Smash Carb gives many Filipinos access to practical and reliable urban transportation. Despite being decades old, this bike still boasts top-notch usability and cost-efficiency. It flaunts a stylish yet approachable design that is appealing to many budget-oriented consumers and novice riders nationwide. The Suzuki Smash Carb is available in two variants - the lower trim, Drum/Spokes, which is priced at ₱64,400, and the higher trim, Disc/Mags, which is priced at ₱69,400. Both variants are available in a New Titan Black colourway. The higher trim is offered exclusively in Metallic Triton Blue while the lower trim is available in four exclusive shades: Pearl Bright Ivory, Candy Jackal Green, Metallic Matte Fibroin Gray, and Candy Summer Red.
Suzuki Smash Carb Design
In terms of dimensions, the Suzuki Smash Carb model line measures 1,932 mm in length, 650 mm in width, 1,062 mm in overall height, and 755 mm in seat height. It has a 1,230 mm wheelbase and a 153 mm ground clearance.
The Suzuki Smash Carb features a fun, timeless design that looks very lively on the road. It has a reliable flare courtesy of its bright and wider-range halogen headlight. It also comes with indicator lights for enhanced illumination at night. Furthermore, it has a youthful, sporty side profile accentuated by a great blend of bright colours and monotone finishes. Both variants run on a pair of 17-inch wheels. The higher trim gets blacked-out mags for a sportier and more premium appearance, while the lower trim gets regular spokes.
Meanwhile, its rear gets visible rear brake and signal lights. Riders can monitor their current riding conditions through a highly visible sporty meter panel that is already due for an update. Its saddle, though not the plushiest in its segment, still provides good cushioning and support for both the rider and pillion even on longer trips. It comes with a 7.6L under-seat storage box that can only store handheld belongings and will not be able to accommodate a helmet of any size. But, on the plus side, its seat height is very accessible and convenient for riders under 6ft.
Overall, the Suzuki Smash Carb’s build is engineered to be lightweight yet durable at the same time, making it a truly reliable daily ride capable of withstanding the unpleasant road conditions within Metro Manila.
Smash Carb Ride & Handling
In terms of suspension combination, the Suzuki Smash Carb utilizes a Telescopic with Coil Spring at the front and a Swing Arm type with Coil Spring at the rear. Both front and rear suspensions are oil damped. This suspension setup allows the rider to easily maneuver this bike through tight traffic and narrow spaces within the city. It also has decent absorption of light to moderate bumps and other road imperfections. This can also deliver a very stable and relatively comfortable experience even on long-distance rides.
Suzuki Smash Carb Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Suzuki Smash Carb model line is powered by a 109.7 cc, 4-stroke, 1-cylinder, SOHC, 2-valve engine that has a maximum power output of 5.6 kW and a maximum torque of 9 Nm. It is paired with a 4-speed constant mesh (manual) transmission gearbox.
This underbone motorcycle might not be the fastest in its segment, but it has sufficient power and torque to make daily commutes easier and more cost-efficient. It delivers an impressive fuel economy in the city. That said, passing through tight traffic at low speeds will not be a problem for this bike. Its transmission system is also very novice-friendly, allowing new riders to bring this bike with ease.
However, due to its limited power, it would be better to think twice before overtaking slower vehicles on free-flowing urban roads. Overall, this bike is a reliable daily commuter and an even practical companion for your leisure trips and personal errands.
Smash Carb Braking & Safety
In terms of safety, the Suzuki Smash Carb is equipped with a pass switch and a shutter lock. The higher trim gets a front disc brake for better stopping power, while a drum at the rear. In contrast, the lower trim gets drums for both front and rear.
Suzuki Smash Carb Verdict
The Suzuki Smash Carb is highly recommended for budget-oriented and novice riders who value practicality and reliability without sacrificing style. This bike proves that the Smash line is truly a compelling first bike option for many Filipino commuters.
